The 39,500 square foot, four-story building consisting of 55 one-bedroom Permanent Supportive Housing units and associated amenities will provide critical housing and supportive services to Longmont residents experiencing homelessness. Element is facilitating a coalition of funding partners to help make Zinnia possible including the City of Longmont, Boulder County, 9% federal low income housing tax credits, Colorado Housing and Finance Authority private activity bonds, and Colorado Department of Housing. Resident services, led by Boulder Shelter for the Homeless, will include contributions from a wide range of community organizations including Mental Health Partners (MHP), Meals on Wheels, Community Food Share, Clinica Family Health, Workforce Boulder County, Safe Shelter St. Vrain, Boulder County AIDS Project, Dental Aid, Longmont Senior Center, and the Center for People with Disabilities. Element will manage the project’s construction and oversee ongoing operations to ensure Zinnia fulfills the goals of all stakeholders.
