Bringing 40 Permanent Supportive Housing units to the evolving Boulder Junction neighborhood, Bluebird will provide critical housing and supportive services to Boulder residents experiencing homelessness. Element helped assemble a coalition of funding partners to help make Bluebird possible including the City of Boulder, Boulder County, federal low income housing tax credits, Colorado state tax credits, Colorado Housing and Finance Authority private activity bonds, and Colorado Department of Housing. Resident services, led by Boulder Shelter for the Homeless, will include contributions from a wide range of community organizations including Mental Health Partners (MHP), Meals on Wheels, Community Food Share, Harvest of Hope, Deacon’s Closet, Clinica Family Health, Workforce Boulder County, Safehouse Progressive Alliance for Nonviolence, Boulder County AIDS Project, Dental Aid, Boulder Community Health, and the Center for People with Disabilities for benefits assistance. Element will manage the project’s construction and oversee ongoing operations to ensure Bluebird fulfills the goals of all stakeholders. Located just north of Goose Creek Path Bluebird residents will enjoy all the shopping, amenities, employment opportunities, and transit options that Boulder Junction has to offer.
